The Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership (GSEP) has had a long-standing commitment to education. In 2001, the Partnership reinforced this commitment by establishing the
Education for Sustainable Energy Development (ESED) scholarship program to support students from developing countries and economies in transition. The ESED program offers master’s level scholarships to outstanding students for a period of up to two years. In addition to the master’s scholarships offered, the ESED program also supports a web-based network of scholars designed to encourage the sharing of information and knowledge among scholars and alumni.
The purpose of the ESED scholarship is to support outstanding students pursuing advanced studies in sustainable energy development and to encourage meaningful contributions to the collective body of knowledge about this subject.
The Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership considers an outstanding student to be one who:
graduates with excellent grades in the top 20% of her/his class
is determined to advance her/his knowledge and understanding
has a history of community involvement
is committed to sustainable energy
is committed to return and contribute to her/his home country

Eligibility Requirements:
To be eligible for this scholarship, prospective applicants must:
Undertake master’s-level studies in sustainable energy development
Be a citizen of a developing country/territory on the List of official development aid recipients identified by the Development Co-operation Directorate (DAC) of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD)
Be committed to returning to their home country/territory after their studies to contribute to its development

Be an outstanding student
Graduates with excellent grades in the top 20% of their class
Is committed to sustainable energy development
Has a history of community involvement
Is determined to advance their knowledge and understanding

Required Documents:
You must provide an electronic copy of all the documents listed below.
Passport (photo page only) or birth certificate
Curriculum vitae detailing your education, work experience (if applicable), awards, and participation in volunteer and/or extracurricular activities
Admission letter from your university program of choice
If you have not yet received a letter of admission, you can upload an acknowledgement of receipt from your university showing that you have applied for admission
If you receive your official admission letter after the scholarship application deadline, it is your responsibility to forward it via email to

Academic Reference Form
You need to provide a completed copy of the Academic Reference Form. The form must be completed in English.
The form must be completed by a faculty member or professor at your current or previous university who knows your academic abilities
Should the referee wish to send the Academic Reference Form directly to the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership, they can email it to
scholarship@globalelectricity.org by March 9, 2018. Once received, it will be indicated in the online application system
Academic or personal reference letter
You need to provide one reference letter from either an academic or personal referee
The reference needs to be in letterform (with an official letterhead of the referee’s organization, if possible), written in English, and must be dated and signed by the referee
An academic referee must be a faculty member or professor at your current or previous university who knows your academic abilities. They cannot be the same person as the individual who completes your Academic Reference Form.
A personal referee should be a person (e.g. employer, supervisor, mentor, coach) who can discuss other personal qualities or interests that make you specially qualified to receive the scholarship. This referee cannot be a family member
Please make sure that the referee includes your full name in their letter
Should the referee wish to send their letter directly to the Global Sustainable Electricity Partnership, they can send email it to

2018 Anita Borg Institute Grace Hopper Celebration Scholarship for Undergraduate,Graduate,Post-doctoral and Faculty lecturers Women in Computing (Funded to Attend GHC Conference 2018, Houston, Texas USA)

AnitaB.org finds sponsors to award hundreds of student and faculty scholarships to attend the Grace Hopper Celebration. This once in a lifetime chance, allows academics to connect with other women in computing, hear stories from peers and experts in computing, and get quality career advice specific to their needs needs. The application process is very competitive.
GHC scholarships provide funds for undergraduate students, graduate students, and faculty to attend the three-day celebration. In 2017, over 650 Scholars attended GHC where they gained access to career and academic workshops, networking opportunities, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Student Eligibility
You must be a full-time student enrolled in an accredited degree program at a college or university at the time of the celebration (September 2018). Those graduating prior to the celebration are not eligible unless accepted to another related degree program (such as a M.S. or Ph.D. program).
Show satisfactory progress toward a degree such as, but not limited to, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline such as electrical engineering, human-computer interaction, math, physics, or management information systems.

Be able to demonstrate an interest in computing.
You cannot have been an AnitaB.org-GHC Scholarship recipient in 2017.
You must be at least 18 years of age by September 24, 2018.
You cannot accept more than one scholarship to attend GHC.
If you receive a scholarship and do not notify AnitaB.org that you cannot attend prior to the celebration, you will not be eligible in future years as this takes a scholarship away from another student that could have attended.

Faculty Eligibility
You must be teaching at an accredited college or university at the time of the conference. We do not award scholarships to High School teachers, as the conference does not provide programming for K-12.
You must teach in a degree program such as, but not limited to, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline such as electrical engineering, human-computer interaction, math, physics, or management information systems.

The GHC Scholarship Grants for students typically cover all expenses for attending the conference, including conference registration, meals, lodging, and fixed amount of travel reimbursement funds. 2018 DAAD In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Progamme for Master & PhD studies at the University of Ghana (Funded)

The DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), as a publicly funded, self-governing organisation of the institutions of higher education in Germany, promotes international academic exchange as well as educational co-operation with developing countries through a variety of funding and scholarship programmes.
As part of the “In-Country/In-Region Scholarship Progamme ” DAAD offers scholarships for PhD and Master studies. The programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and aims at university staff in the first line, without neglecting the public sector demand of academically trained personnel.

The target group for scholarships are graduates and postgraduates from Sub- Saharan Africa with a first academic degree if applying for a master’s programme, or with a Master’s degree if applying for a doctoral programme who want to pursue Master’s or PhD courses in their home country (so called In-Country scholarships) or in another Sub-Saharan African country (In-Region scholarships). It has been agreed upon that DAAD cooperates with the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER), University of Ghana by offering up to 5 In-Region and 2 In-Country scholarships for PhD at ISSER for the intake 2018.

As a Fellow, you will set targets and work towards ambitious goals that will put your students on a different life path. The experience will not only develop your leadership skills but also give you first-hand exposure to the educational crisis in our country. Through the two years Fellows receive ongoing support through a combination of in-person training sessions, leadership forums, as well as online training courses and resources. Additionally, we will build partnerships with key public and private sector entities in order to develop pathways to accelerate alumni leadership in critical areas.
After the two-year program and as an Alumni, you will be supported to use these skills and knowledge to advocate for and lead educational reform in whichever path you choose.

United Nations Information Service’s 56th Graduate Study Programme 2018

The United Nations Information Service’s Graduate Study Programme provides an opportunity for participants to deepen their understanding of the United Nations system through first-hand observation and study. The Graduate Study Programme is held at the United Nations Office at Geneva each year during the month of July.
Each year, as part of the educational outreach programmes undertaken by the United Nations, the Information Service at Geneva organizes the Graduate Study Programme. This seminar provides an opportunity for outstanding graduate and postgraduate students from all over the world to deepen their understanding of the principles, purposes and activities of the United Nations and its related agencies through first-hand observation and study at the United Nations Office at Geneva.
The 56 Graduate Study Programme will be held at the Palais des Nations from 2 to 13 July 2018. It will comprise lectures given by senior members of the United Nations and the Geneva-based specialized agencies. The GSP theme for 2018 will be:
Human rights at a crossroads: where we stand in 2018
2018 marks the 70 anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. But in this milestone year, human rights violations are part of major humanitarian and political crises. At the same time, international scrutiny over human rights issues, carried out via multilateral human rights mechanisms, has never been stronger. And the breadth and depth of the international human rights system’s focus has been expanding to address topics and communities which have not always received the attention they deserved: from gender-based violence and LGBTI rights, to the human rights of refugees and migrants, as well as challenges to human rights posed by the digital age and by climate change.
Finally, we have a universal roadmap for development, the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which is premised on a foundation of human rights. Human rights are an integral part of the 2030 Agenda and of every one of its 17 Sustainable Development Goals. This is why implementing the SDGs requires institutional reform at the international and national levels, to truly mainstream human rights.

Participants will form working groups to study issues related to the various dimensions of this theme, under the guidance of United Nations experts. They will be provided with selected documents and publications on the theme under discussion.
Important: language requirements for the GSP :
The majority of the sessions will be held in English, therefore absolute fluency in English is essential. As several sessions will be held in French, solid working knowledge of French is also required.

How to apply:

The students invited to attend this programme will be selected on the basis of their academic experience and motivation, with due regard to equitable geographical and gender distribution. The age limit for application is 32 years of age.
Students interested in the 2018 Graduate Study Programme must submit their application ONLINE until 2 March 2018. No applications will be accepted after this date.

The application form is to be filled in on our website, accompanied by a copy of the applicant’s passport, a letter of recommendation (in English or French only) from a university or governmental authority, proof of current enrolment (at the time of application) in a Master’s degree programme or a postgraduate degree programme (or equivalent) and university diplomas obtained.
Please note that incomplete applications will not be taken into consideration.
Once selected, successful candidates will be asked ahead of time to provide a medical certificate attesting good health and proof of medical insurance coverage in Switzerland at the time of the GSP (these two documents will be only be accepted by us in English or French). Applications from those already employed full time professionally cannot be considered.

Candidates will be notified of the selection committee’s decision by mid-April 2018.
Participation in the programme is free. The United Nations does not make any financial contribution towards the travel costs and residential expenses of participants. Governments or universities may offer grants to selected candidates. Candidates should seek advice from their universities on this point.

First Ready Your Blog Before Applying for Adsense:

Adsense moderators are ready to approve those blogs whose have met up the requirements. But firstly, you should make your blog a ready one for this process. Make sure your blog meets these requirements. Now, there are some initial basic requirements announced by AdSense team, and there are some known hacks and tricks that work. For example, on this official page it’s mentioned that for countries like China & India, publishers need to own the site for minimum 6 months, which is not a thumb-rule. Many Indian bloggers have got approval with one-month-old domain. The only thing which really matter here is “Quality”. Let’s look at factors which will make your blogAdSense ready:

• Have Sufficient Content Or Post

You must be ready to post daily or 3 times in a week if you want adsense approval soon, and make sure you have up to 40 post on your blog before applying for adsense.

• Apply with your custom domain

You should always apply using the root domain like yourdomain.com. Not blog.yourdomain.com.

•  Use an image from your own URL

Google Adsense doesn’t approve blogs if they lead to copyrighted contents. Copyrighted means the things that have been copied from others directory without their permission. And we make fault every time when choosing an image. Some people just go to an image directory, take their suitable images and upload these on their blogs. Did they ever check if they have permission to use these? The really sad news is that, most of the webmasters who fail to get Adsense because of this copyrighted law. And this is really caused by copyrighted images. Here are guides which will help you to find images for free:

•   Have a nice design and structure

You must have a beautiful looking blog if you want a quick adsense approval. Because this is one of the major reasons for blog to get you approve soon. Even if you download your theme for your blog or it was design by a company, make sure it is a light and well design blog.

• Write High-Quality Content

A writing proverb “Content is King” helps you understand this requirement. A high-quality blog is identified with the high-quality contents. Great contents mean unique, decorated, stated and clear concerted content. Some black hat webmasters say, copy paste content only between 100-200 words is enough. But, I may assure him that his journey to Adsense will be certainly finished. I think, how a blog post or content could be only between 100-200 words? In my judgment, it is not possible to completely describe a topic within 100-200 words. And if copy paste content is enough, anybody can declare him as a blogger. Please keep in mind, Google AdSense doesn’t approve blogs with copy pasted copyright content. A well-optimized blog post should be 100% unique and above 500-600 words. So, always write blog post above this limit and it must be unique which clearly determinate the post topic.

·        Check if your blog is not blocked by Google

Be sure that, your blog is not blocked by Google. Because Adsense will check your blog statistics on their search engine. Don’t know how to check it? Just search for “site:yourdomain.com” on Google. If you find out search results, your blog is not blocked. But, if you not, it is blocked.

• ·        Dont Have Google adsense restricted content

Google Adsense has made it a law that, sites with adult contents, copyrighted contents, drug alcohol-related contents, hacking cracking contents, violent contents, weapons related contents and other illegal contents will not be approved.

• ·       Optimize Blog Post with Meta Tags and Make It Search Engine Friendly:

·       Visitors are not yet factors for approval

For Google to approve your blog visitors are not the main issue to getting approved as tho you will need traffic later to generate income from your blog.
